NURSING
Many modern hospitals use computers to store medical records of their patients. Information from each patient’s medical chart is entered into a computer file. Nurse update this file every time they give medications or check the patient’s blood pressure, pulse rate, temperature, and overall progress.
When nurses change shifts, they need only to have a quick briefing because the essential information about the patient’s care is already on the computer.
